Heal- Victorian Satin Birch Linen Press ca 1860
This beautiful Victorian satin birch linen press is stamped by the renowned maker Heal and has a moulded cornice above two arched panelled doors with original turned knobs. The interior has four sliding, mahogany lined, linen trays and the lower section has two over two graduating mahogany lined drawers with original turned knobs. The piece stands on plain plinth, has original backboards, splits into three sections for ease of removals, is a golden satin birch colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
