This striking antique Victorian mahogany bookcase cupboard ca 1870 has a later moulded cornice above a deep flamed mahogany frieze and two glazed doors with moulded edges, key and working lock. The interior has three adjustable shelves. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top above two cupboard doors with raised fielded panels and beautiful figuring. The interior has two fixed shelves and a makers / retailers label ‘A Walker. Leeds’. The bookcase stands on a flamed mahogany plinth, splits into two sections for ease of removals, is a medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
